[ALVISTA] 7th issue Vol. 2. 2025AW Inspired by the style of wearing voluminous pants called bloomers as part of a set in the Aran Islands of Ireland, these pants also draw inspiration from the traditional clothing of Volendam, a long-established fishing town in Europe. The most distinctive feature is the extremely voluminous and impactful form created by countless pintucks placed below the waistband. To compensate for the slightly larger waist size due to the emphasis on form, a cord is threaded inside, and simple suspenders made of the same material are included, the length of which can be adjusted with buttons so that the pants can be worn without tightening. The distinctive waist detail and form of these pants are most prominent when tucked in with the suspenders. The buttons are made of vegetable ivory made from tagwa palm. The suspenders are set to their longest setting when worn.

This cotton Venetian fabric is woven using rare 30/2 thick, tightly twisted yarn for both the warp and weft, a technique that requires advanced technology and is only produced by a few companies in Japan. To maximize the quality of the thick, tightly twisted yarn, the fabric is immersed in a compressed silicone solution, allowing the silicone to penetrate the yarn, a process known as compressed silicone impregnation. This process accentuates the tightly twisted feel and adds the smooth, bouncy texture characteristic of silicone, resulting in a material that combines the drape and texture of wool, despite being made of cotton.
