A contemporary suit made by TOWNCRAFT in the 1960s.
The Conpora suit was popular among African Americans on the West Coast of the United States around the 1960s, and was favored by R&B musicians and jazz musicians of the time.
Woven from fine wool, the iridescent fabric is unique to this era and has a dull sheen that gives it a shiny texture, as well as softness, giving it a luxurious feel.
The jacket has two buttons and a boxy, vertical silhouette, and the trousers are no-tuck with a slight tapered line, a style that was popular at the time when clothes were slim fit, giving the silhouette a clean look with just the right amount of adult relaxedness.
