This is a vintage bowling shirt made by King Louie, dating from around the 1960s.
King Louie is one of the most famous bowling shirt brands, founded in Missouri, USA in the 1940s.
On the back, the words GUYS CHIPS NUTS are inscribed in a three-dimensional, warm chain stitch. This team shirt also served as an advertisement for the potato chip and nut manufacturer at the time. The deep green color scheme on the mustard yellow body, along with the decidedly American yet endearing lettering of potato chips and nuts, gives it a truly striking presence.
The meltingly soft rayon texture creates elegant drapes that move with your body, and the shirt takes on a sensual look with deep shadows that catch the light.
