This is a 1943 US Army Air Force summer flight jumpsuit.
The material used is a superb lightweight cotton twill that is incredibly tough and high-density, designed with summer wear and airplane use in mind, and has a smooth texture with just the right amount of firmness.
The faint traces of the original stencil stamp below the left chest pocket, and the flap pockets below both knees, designed with cockpit seating in mind, give this military-spec garment a rugged, functional beauty that makes it truly stand out.
The belt, which is often missing, is still present, and the waist belt adds definition to the silhouette, creating a sophisticated look.
The zipper is CONMAR.
