This is a Hynes rayon gabardine open-collar work shirt from around the 1940s.
The back features the old letter logo of NESCAFE, the worlds largest coffee brand, embroidered in thick, gold-yellow chain stitching, giving it a truly unique presence.
The rayon gabardine fabric has a moderate weight, a unique sheen, and a melting drape. Despite its thickness, the soft rayon gabardine fabric creates beautiful shadows with every movement.
This jacket features a classic boxy silhouette and a simple, masculine form, while incorporating details from the era such as a long-point collar with bag stitching and double pockets with flaps.
The hem features gussets on both sides, a time-consuming reinforcement detail that is often omitted in todays more efficient production lines.
The medium-sized silhouette offers a relaxed, comfortable feel, and the flowing fabric creates a sensual look.
