This is a 1973 US Army type M-65 parka.
This fishtail-style overcoat is a continuation of the M-51, a field parka for extreme cold weather adopted in the late 1960s and a favorite of the Mods.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to find each year, but this is a shell-only piece from the 1970s, making it a perfect item to wear as a light jacket in autumn or spring.
The M size offers a relaxed and comfortable silhouette.
The zipper is a brass zipper with a pull tab.
