【ALVISTA】8th issue Vol 2. 2026 A/W This neck warmer is a modern interpretation and reconstruction of the handmade fur garments worn by Eskimos. It incorporates details sampled from various practical items such as military wear, welding equipment, and old Japanese firefighter hats. The way the hood opening is folded, the degree to which the front is opened, the opening and closing of the central reverse zipper, and the angle when worn can all be combined to create countless shapes depending on the wearers imagination. The lining is made of Australian merino wool boa, a high-quality wool boa characterized by the smooth texture unique to merino wool. The product has a one-wash finish.
MATERIAL
Artificial Leather Boa - 100% Wool
This artificial leather, developed using proprietary technology from Toray Industries, Inc., the Japanese company that developed microfiber, has a texture remarkably close to genuine suede and is used in the interiors of luxury cars. It creates a three-dimensional nonwoven fabric structure by bundling ultrafine fibers together, and the surface structure, created by combining these ultrafine fibers and creating a napped surface, reproduces the high-quality, smooth texture of suede. The internal structure, where bundles of ultrafine fibers and high-molecular-weight elastic materials intertwine, enables diverse functional properties such as homogeneity, durability, and breathability. Compared to genuine suede, it is lighter, more resistant to dirt and water, and washable, making it a material suitable for daily use.
