1938 vintage class ring. From World War I to the late 20s and 30s, which was hit by the Great Depression, the college ring of this age is often made of silver or brass, and gold individuals are rarely seen. This is a very rare individual with a cameo on the top that I have never seen before. The engraving and openwork on the side are elegantly made with the taste of Art Deco, and the top is made of hematite (iron ore), which is often used for mens cameo rings, and has a mannish look that is not too feminine. The class ring of this age shows more remnants of the signet ring, which also shows the elegance of the signet ring. Long-established HERFF JONES 10kt gold engraving.
