The Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s made the coins (peso) worthless, and the overflowing coins were melted and made into rings. In the 1940s, members of bikers clubs hanging out at the border of Mexico wore this ring instead of brass knuckles, which was banned at the time, and it became known as the bikers ring or duster ring. This is probably from around the 1950s, and the top is a rare skull motif that combines traditional calavera skull motifs and biker memento mori ideas. The side has a motif of an American military eagle and is very mannish. The top and sides are beautiful brass, and the body is alloy or coin silver without the sterling stamp. There are many sizes that are too big, but this is a relatively small number and a rare individual.
