It is said that spoon rings originated around the 17th century, when servants of aristocrats stole their masters cutlery because they could not afford wedding rings. Hippies discovered it in the 1960s and it was revived. Many of these items are made by long-established American silverware manufacturers that date back to the 19th century, and since there are no hallmarks on these items, I dont know the manufacturer, but I think they are vintage from around 1960. The combination of a solid body and simple yet delicate workmanship gives this item an antique feel. Silver plate and silver plating are often used from antique items. As this is a vintage item, there may be scuffs and scratches. Please check the photos and understand the vintage and antique characteristics before purchasing.
