It all began in the early 1900s when coins (pesos) lost their value during the Mexican Revolution, and the overflowing coins were melted down and made into rings. In the 1940s, members of a bikers club that hung out on the Mexican border wore these rings in place of brass knuckles, which were banned at the time, during fights, and thats why they came to be called bikers rings and duster rings. This is probably from around the 1950s, and is a rare example with an emblem on the top and an Art Deco design. The hoop is also crafted to give it a strong presence, giving it a dignified yet dignified look. There is no engraving so it is hard to tell, but the appearance and texture is probably sterling silver or coin silver.
