[ALVISTA] 6th issue Vol 2. 2024AW A vest inspired by the style of the Sami people, an ethnic minority group in the Lapland region (northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and some parts of Russia). It is built based on the structure of the Australian Navy vest, incorporating the atmosphere of their handmade mouton vests. It is reversible with a completely different look, with a minimalist design that makes use of the rich long hair shaggy texture with hooks and cords on the surface, and a design reminiscent of a deck vest using high-density back satin with uneven yarn on the back. It is finished with a size balance that can be worn as an outer layer over a light outer layer or as an inner layer while avoiding extreme oversize. The cord is linen cord, and the buttons are genuine nut buttons. The tip of the cord is made of sterling silver and antique beads (black is genuine buffalo, sand is camel bone)
MATERIAL
60% wool, 20% mohair, 20% nylon
Lining - 100% cotton
: A shaggy material made by using a blend of first lamb, the longest fiber length of lambs selected from the high-quality Geelong lamb breed, which is soft and white, from the Geelong region of Australia, and mohair yarn in both the warp and weft directions. Unlike shaggy created only by simple brushing, this is made using a time-consuming loop cut (a method of finishing by cutting loop-shaped pile) to express authentic long-haired shaggy. In addition, a classic hydraulic brushing machine is used to carefully brush the fabric under the supervision of skilled craftsmen to achieve a beautiful texture. Although mohair blend fabric is thought to be uncomfortable on the skin, by paying attention to the raw materials, it has a very soft touch. Since nylon thread is used for the connection, it does not lose its shape and has excellent shape retention.
