USS (United States Safety Service), government-issued glasses provided to the US military. A rare pair of diamond-hinge Wellington-style glasses that were used until the 1960s. The grayish clear frame, which is common to vintage safety frames of mannish Wellington-style glasses, blends well with the face. New UV lenses in a light grayish purple color have been installed. HALO temples of a different color from the same era are attached. The nose pads have been removed, but they are small in size so they are not noticeable. The glasses have been maintained at an eyeglass store and polished to give them a natural luster. We have carefully examined the condition, but as they are vintage products, there may be scratches and scuffs. Please understand the characteristics of vintage and antique items before purchasing. All of our glasses are maintained and lens replaced at g room, an eyeglass store in Ebisu, Tokyo.
