These are vintage American Optical glasses from the late 1930s. The full-view Boston round frame with temples at the top was developed when cars became more common, and the rare size 44 makes for a silhouette that is more familiar to the face. Gold-plated in 12Kt-Yellow Gold. New UV lenses in a light grayish purple color have been inserted. Appraisal and maintenance have been completed at an eyeglass store. The temples (or rope handles) can be adjusted to the desired bend (at your local eyeglass store). Although the condition has been carefully examined, as these are vintage items, there may be some scratches or scuffs. Please understand the characteristics of vintage and antique items before purchasing. All of our glasses are maintained and lens replaced at g room, an eyeglass store in Ebisu, Tokyo.
