This is a vintage Cowichan sweater from the 1960s.
Cowichan knitting is a traditional knitting style from Vancouver Island, Canada that combines European weaving and indigenous traditions to create distinctive items.
It reached its peak in the 1950s, when more pop patterns were produced by many manufacturers outside of Canada and became popular.
This is a unique color scheme consisting of black, ivory (off-white), and gray.
The native pattern also has a more solid look, giving it a cool impression.
It has a clean silhouette and is made from virgin wool and the soft knit fabric gives it a natural feel.
The loofah collar is fake, which is an unusual design.
There are traces of repairs (on the back), but from a subjective perspective it is in good condition as a used item.
