The Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s caused the value of coins (pesos) to be lost, and the excess coins were melted down and made into rings. In the 1940s, members of biker clubs who hung out on the Mexican border would wear these rings instead of brass knuckles, which were banned at the time, and they came to be called biker rings or duster rings. This ring is probably from the 1960s, and the top has a rare skull motif that combines the traditional calavera skull motif with the biker memento mori idea. The side has a lion emblem reminiscent of British style, and the overall cutting is mannish yet minimalist. It is stamped 925, the top base and the side emblem are made of brass, and the ruby is beautifully cut and has a beautiful color, although I dont know if it is natural. Many are too large, but this is a relatively small size and is a rare item. Please check the condition in the photo and understand the characteristics of vintage before purchasing.
