Composite suits were popular among black people on the West Coast of the United States in the 1960s, and were favored by R&B musicians and jazzmen of the time.
Woven from fine wool, the iridescent fabric is unique to this era and has a shiny texture with a dull luster and a soft feel, giving it a luxurious feel.
The jacket has two buttons and a vertical, boxy silhouette, and the trousers are no-tuck and slightly tapered, which is a slim fit for the era, but they have a clean look with just the right amount of adult roominess.
